About the Artist

Mr O''Vwede Efe Okorodudu is a self-taught artist and he was born in Nigeria, Delta state and grew up in the city of Benin city and being surrounded by traditional artists (sculpting, carving, drawing, painting and architecture design.) His love for multimedia art, rural and urban art started from a young age. In his late teens he began drawing and painting with watercolour and molding with clay and with its unforgiving nature allowed him to forge a love, respect and passion for modern contemporary art.

My Efe displayed an innate talent for visual / contemporary arts, constantly seeking opportunities to experiment  various mediums and techniques. Mr Efe is an abstract and figurative painter who finds inspiration throughout the daily random encounters and expression of the creation process. His ambition is to achieve balance between color, luminosity and beautiful contrast between harmony and chaos. His Drawing inspiration comes from a diverse range of art movements, such as expressionism, impressionism, figurative, mixed media and abstract art, they have cultivated a style that transcends boundaries and defies categorization. Their versatility allows him to fluidly express his vision through different mediums, including  painting, sculpture, textile/fashion, dancing art and digital art.

 

He skilfully plays with light and shadow, creating dynamic contrasts that enhance the overall impact of his artwork and evoke a wide range of emotions. As he continues to evolve as an artist, he remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of his creativity and exploring new horizons, style and collections of various subjects of art from his studio, with a view of exhibiting and sharing the work that he produces. Through his paintings, drawings and sculpture,  He hope to evoke real emotion, but most of all to let the viewer enjoy the art as much as he enjoys making it.
